My approach
I use a variety of techniques to best address your concerns. My treatments are strongly rooted in connection and communication, both extrinsic and intrinsic. The initial intake will allow us to get to know each other so I can curate each treatment to what you need in that moment.
I love solving problems. Acupuncture allows me to seek out answers that are hiding within. The approach to medicine most of us are accustomed to is REACTIVE. We wait until a problem is so apparent that it is interrupting our lives before we take action. We have been taught to ignore our innate sense of healing and apply layer upon layer of bandages to our problems without addressing why the problem is there in the first place. Anxiety? Xanax. Pain? NSAIDs or opioids. Heartburn? Antacids. Sadly, many of these interventions have their own unwanted effects. My job is to identify the root cause of your concerns and provide a space for your body to begin healing itself. And, yes, this is absolutely possible. I want to be very clear that I am not opposed to western medical intervention. I practice INTEGRATIVE medicine, not “alternative” medicine. I prefer to work with my patients primary care providers, especially in complex cases, and have open communication so you have a team of experts working together.
With regular treatments over time, you will notice your connection to self is stronger and you will be more aware of slight changes in your state of being. You’ll be more aware of your innate voice. This will allow you to address imbalances early on before they become more serious problems or states of disease.
